Mr. Z.W Xalisa

Mr Zamikhaya Wauthas Xalisa is a Member of the Strategy Development and Investment Committee and the Social and Ethics Committee.

Mr Xalisa holds Masters Degree in Sustainable Agriculture (MSA) from the University of the Free State, an MBA (Masters in Business Administration) from the Milpark Business School, a Management Advancement Programme (MAP) from the Wits Business School, a Bachelor of Technology in Agricultural Management from the University of South Africa and a National Diploma in Farm Business Management from the Fort Cox College of Agriculture among others.

Mr. Xalisa is currently the Executive Chairman & Managing Director of ZAMGRO Business Enterprise responsible for communicating on behalf of the company with shareholders, government entities, clients and the public at large and leading the development of the company’s short- and long-term strategy. Creating and implementing the company or organization’s vision and mission and evaluating the work of other executive leaders within the company, including directors among other duties.

Mr Xalisa has held various leadership positions including being a Chief Executive Officer at the National Agricultural Marketing Council, being a Senior Agricultural Specialist- Black Business Development at ABSA in the Agribusiness Division, Non-Executive Director at Amatola Water Board and Grain Farmer Development Association among others.

He is currently serving on the Board of the JHB Fresh Produce Market as the Chairperson and as a Member of the Board at the Helen Joseph Hospital.
